In late 2007, Likor Sniff Seymour joined our little family, fitting right in
with his never ending need to LICK everything in sight! Wood, window, cat or kid - he didn't care, just a happy little tongue going crazy. Being a Colorado Bull dog, he was already big - as big as my over sized cat! He grew fast, now reaching about 76lbs! Not only is HE big, so is his bark!
March 2008, Patches Marie Seymour became our little Alpha. She was brought home from Bayard New Mexico, where she would have been killed if left. The owner of Patches mother, had decided to kill the littler. I was able to rescue two [ the rest I believe were saved as well! ]. Though I found out FAST that 3 dogs...is a LOT of work, more then I could handle by myself. So the second pup [ Runt ] was adopted by a big family and it was a happily ever after!
Patches is now a solid 44lbs and sweet as can be.
They started alone, with out as their people - but some how, we found each other and have managed to make ourselves into a big happy family consisting of 3 adults, 3 kids, 2 dogs and a cat!
As is with ALL families, we have our kinks to work out - and slowly we're getting there!
Likor has NO manners, but finally after what feels like MONTHS, he has stopped jumping on people when they walk through the door! Patches, sweet baby that she is, is scared of people she doesn't know! Why? I wish I knew...but she's no longer cowering from every single person that walks/runs/rides by when we go on our walks! She still doesn't like for strangers to touch her, but that's another problem for another time!
That was until August 2010.....
